How Do I Get Involved?
If you’re new to Epworth and want to get more involved, there are several groups and ministries that you can join. There’s no need to reserve, call ahead, or ask permission. All the groups listed here welcome new attendees at any time.
If you want more information about any of the events listed on our calendar, please call Linda Findlater at (334) 298-3186 or send an email from the Contact page.
Women’s Group
The Women’s Group meets 6:30 pm the first Tuesday of each month (check the online calendar for exceptions) at the church in the Fellowship Hall. Usually there are light refreshments, discussions of plans for projects, and an occasional guest speaker.
“The purpose of the Epworth United Methodist Women’s organization shall be a community of Christian women who know God and foster spiritual growth and supportive fellowship within the church while also reaching out into the community through missions that support women and children.”
Men’s Club
The Men’s Club meets 7:00 pm the first Thursday of each month (check the online calendar for exceptions) at the church in the Fellowship Hall. This group organizes several outreach ministries, including the area food bank. The men sponsor fund-raisers, such as 4 “S” Luncheons throughout the year and an annual Yard Sale.
“Helping men grow in Christ, so others may know Christ.”
Prayer Ministry
Prayer Ministry meets every third Tuesday in the month for a Prayer Vigil at 6:30 pm (in the Chapel at the front of the church), followed by a meeting in the Conference Room. The Prayer Ministry is open to all who wish to grow closer to our Lord through prayer.
Pastor’s Bible Study
The Pastor’s Bible Study meets Wednesday 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm Weekly (meets in Sanctuary). Our pastor, Rev. T Grant Parker leads a weekly Bible study that requires no homework and welcomes new attendees at any time. Simply bring yourself and your Bible.
