Program Overview for Junior High Students

Sunday Morning Worship: Is a weekly meeting designed to INTRODUCE students to Christ. If a student comes for the first time, they will leave learning some biblical truth about Jesus, and will have an opportunity to respond to what they have heard. In addition to applying biblical truths into their everyday life, regular attending students are encouraged to invite their friends. Purpose: WORSHIP (Sunday Morning 9:45am)

Sunday School: Is a Sunday morning class designed to help junior high students commit and GROW in their faith, by exploring biblical truths that are important to their literacy of God’s Word. Student believers will begin to develop a confluent relationship with God by learning how to love God with their mind, heart, and strength. Purpose: DISCIPLESHIP (Sunday Morning 11:00am)

Small Groups (Crossroads): Is a weekly meeting intended to teach the Bible and personalize Christian fellowship and growth. Purpose: DISCIPLESHIP (Sunday Night 5:00pn-7:00pm)

Youth Worship Service: Is a weekly meeting designed to INTRODUCE non-believing students to Christ. A typical night will consist of high-energy competitions, wild and crazy videos, meaningful worship, and a challenging message. Students are encouraged to bring friends.
Purpose: EVANGELISM (Wednesday Night 6:00pm-8:00pm)

5th Sundays: Are designed specifically to INTRODUCE friends to our ministry. Four times a year a 5th Sunday is held to provide an initial contact with non-believing students through fun and establishing relationships with other students. Purpose: EVANGELISM

Drama Team: The drama team challenges committed believers to discover their ability to SERVE through creative arts. The team will perform dramas in order to help communicate messages and topics addressed in Student Ministry. Purpose: MINISTRY

Worship Team/Youth Choir: The worship team/Youth Choir challenges committed believers to discover their ability to SERVE either vocally or through musical instruments. Students help lead their peers, and set the tone for God-exalting worship. Purpose: MINISTRY

Youth Camp: Camp is a week-long camp held each summer. At the camp, students will participate in small groups, fantastic worship, multi-media shows, and recreation.
Purpose: DISCIPLESHIP

Spring Fling: A spring retreat weekend designed for a growth experience with God. Purpose: DISCIPLESHIP

DNOW: Disciple Now held each fall is an intense weekend of discipleship and worship. Purpose: DISCIPLESHIP

Ski Trip: A weekend retreat designed to provide a growth experience with God and friends. Purpose: FELLOWSHIP
